The project involves designing a control panel for the Vestel washing machine to showcase its new UI featuring full touch control instead of traditional knobs. The project aims to achieve a slimmer profile compared to standard washing machine control panels and prioritize user-friendliness, guiding users seamlessly through the washing process. The objective is to create a distinctive control panel that highlights these advanced UI features, using Vestel’s existing washing machine structure while aligning with current market trends
Key Trends
The Vestel T180 washing machine is the result of extensive trend research and analysis, incorporating modern design elements and features that match with the needs and preferences of modern users. The T180's design embodies the trend of minimalism, with clean lines and a focus on enhanced usability with the trend of individualization and personalized products.
Its minimalist design embodies the trend of simplicity, with clean lines and a user-centric approach that enhances usability. The tilted display area and full-touch user interface have been meticulously crafted to ensure an intuitive and effortless user experience, while its advanced technological features align with the trend of connected devices and smart homes. With its flexible manufacturing facilities, the T180 is also customizable to fit the specific needs and preferences of individual users.
Benchmark
The benchmark process for the T180 washing machine involved exploring recently released models from competitors. Most market players were aligned with our trend research findings. Additionally, we examined alternative material usage and finish options to create a distinctive look.
Ideation
Research insights provided a clear direction for the sketching and ideation phase of the Vestel T180 washing machine design. Multiple design concepts were generated and evaluated through a collaborative process, with feedback from stakeholders and user testing.

Furthermore, the full-touch user interface has been meticulously crafted to ensure that the laundry process can be easily followed in a natural left-to-right order. These user-focused design elements not only improve the machine's aesthetics but also make it an effortless and intuitive experience for users.
Prototyping
After several iterations and rigorous testing, the T180 was finalized for production and subsequently launched into the market.
